..... I was asked how to make clear watermark copyright symbols onto the image. I am not a fan of it, but I know that there are instances where it is needed.

(1) Make a new page and type in your copyright info. (2) Choose emboss for the layer type, change fill blend to zero and rastersize it. (3) press the transparent button on top

of the layer pallette. (4) Change blend mode from normal to hard light. (5) drag it over to the image you actually want to see it on. (6) save it for another file...

So at this point, I am opening a file in Photoshop Lightroom Beta for Mac. Afterwards, I select SRGB color pallette.

Then proceed to make three duplicate layers, the first original layer, two for the Soft Filter layer making one NEW layer on top of the two, then the

third I use for the LAB Shap layer which will be used as a mask. Together that makes Five layers right out of the Box, shrunk down to three.
